root vegetables

In Jainism they don’t believe in killing so they don’t even eat vegetables that are grown underground because that’s killing the plant.

Estelle commented that this sounds like the hardest religion to live and I agreed.

But I wonder if people think the same thing about our faith

The sacrifices we are asked to make may seem like a lot to people on the outside and sometimes they can feel like a lot for us too

but when you feel the blessings of living the faith it doesn’t feel like so much of a sacrifice

It just becomes a way of life

And perhaps that’s how Jains feel about root vegetables
