In the Greek Orthodox churches you’ll often see little old ladies that come to the church everyday 

You’ll see them writing names on pieces of paper for loved ones or their deceased to be prayed for 

They also will add their own name to the list when needed 

I found that beautiful that they see themselves that deeply to recognize when they may need the extra blessings, comfort or hope from heaven 

And they have the humility to put pen to paper 

Perhaps that’s a way we can practice the second of the two great commandments. 

To love our neighbor as OURSELVES.
