hangry girls

Ellie and I had been fasting for 36 hours

We were honestly getting a bit hangry

And I may have slept through some of the meeting

But I don’t think that sacrament bread has ever tasted so divine

Regardless if it was homemade bread in La Spezia, Italy

Not only did it feel as if that sliver of bread satisfied my physical hunger

But my spiritual hunger too

Which almost felt deeper

Reached farther than 36 hours without food

The same thing happened in Morocco

Only this time we had the Sacrament

in a tent

In the Sahara Desert

After a large meal.

I wasn’t even hungry

I was quite full in fact

But that bread filled me to the brim

With joy and peace and rest

In a way that no food can (but trust me ive had some yummyyy food)

I just went on gospel library to find some references to the bread of life and saw the chorus to this new hymn the church released:

Bread of Life, Living Water,

Feed my soul, fill my heart.

Lord, give me new life in Thee

And make me whole—complete and holy—

Bound to Thee eternally.

Sums it up pretty well id say
