The Sahara Desert

Many people have expressed that this was the best day of their life 

They'll mention the jeep ride, sand boarding, ATV ride and camel ride

Strangely I didn’t share the same sentiments 

The jeep ride was fun

I tried the sand boarding a couple times 

I didn’t really have the desire to hop on the atv

I named my camel Carl 

It was fun. But if we’re going by fun, I’ve had funner

Don’t get me wrong tho, this was a really really good day

But for different reasons

I got to have a lovely, light filled, spirit filled conversation with Lexi

Where we opened our hearts 

let ourselves be seen 

Imperfections, heartaches and all 

Sitting on top of the dunes

I felt God there

And the Sahara became sacred to me

Not because of the recreation but because of the connection.
